Meet Sophie

Sophie Boutelegier is the founder of Expandify and the creator of the 'Make it Big in the USA' Program. She is an expert in growth and international expansion. She works with entrepreneurs and business leaders to create powerful strategies and fast-lane implementation plans, helping them to achieve sustained, profitable growth. Her core expertise lies in creating international expansion strategies, developing powerful go to market plans and helping European businesses thrive in the US market.

 

Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia, South and North America, she understands the particular challenges of international business. Clients who work with Sophie appreciate her no – nonsense approach to accelerate growth, creating maximum profit within tolerable risk. Sophie challenges and motivates and makes you look at your business in a way you never did before.

 

She regularly speaks at conferences and gives workshops for clients and trade associations on topics covering exponential growth, international strategy and partnerships.

 

As a fellow of the renowned Prince Albert Fund she is an entrepreneur at heart. During her career with Barco she was granted the award ‘Sales Manager of the year 2012’ and was the runner-up for Tomorrowland, a companywide contest for innovation. Sophie holds a Master’s degree in Law, Intellectual Property and International Business from the Catholic University in Leuven. A native from Belgium, she speaks English, Dutch, French, Portuguese and Italian.

 

Since 2015 Sophie calls Silicon Valley, California her home where she enjoys the sunshine with her husband Wim and 2 young children, Charlotte and Matthias, who are the fulltime business developers for her firm.

Ben Troch has a master’s degree in Taxation and a master’s degree in Law in Belgium and more than five years of experience working with international clients. Prior to joining the IMS Chicago office, Ben worked as a Senior Tax Consultant at PwC Belgium. Now based in Belgium, Ben acts as the first contact for Benelux companies and provides various tax and consultancy services.
